Georges Lemaître: Cráter lunar Lemaître / Lemaître crater

Lemaître es un cráter lunar de impacto que se encuentra en el hemisferio sur, en la cara oculta de la Luna, y tiene un diámetro de 91 km. Se encuentra al sur del cráter mayor Minkowski y al norte de Crommelin. Hacia el este-sureste se encuentra el cráter Eijkman.

Lemaître is a lunar impact crater that is located on the southern hemisphere on the far side of the Moon, and its diameter is 91 km. It lies to the south of the older crater Minkowski, and north of Crommelin. To the east-southeast lies the crater Eijkman.

Profile

Eduardo Riaza Molina has a degree in Physics by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and he is a member of the Royal Spanish Society of Physics. He works at the Colegio Retamar in Madrid since 1984 as a teacher of Physics and Chemistry.

He has attended many conferences about Physics in Spain and abroad, such as the Science on Stage Conference. He took part in the National Olympics of Physics as a representative of different universities, and he has also coordinated the Physics Campus at the School of Industrial and Telecommunications Engineering of the University of Navarre, in San Sebastian; this was addressed to students of Secondary Education in Madrid to prepare the International Olympics of Physics and the European Olympics EUSO. He has also presented experimental researches made together with students at the Science Fair in Madrid and in the Contest for Young Researchers.

Interested in History of Science and the promotion of scientist vocations, he has published different papers on Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Enrico Fermi, Miguel Catalan, and others in several educational and specialized magazines.
